Obituary of Edward H. Eddy

EDWARD H. EDDY Edward Eddy, of Camas, passed away January 18, in Portland, OR at the age of 75. He was born September 22, 1932 in North Bend, OR. Edward lived in Vancouver most of his life and graduated from Vancouver High School in 1950. He attended Clark College and began working in the auto business doing body and fender work along with painting. Mr. Eddy later enrolled at the University of Portland. To help with his tuition he worked assisting the professors. He graduated with a degree in chemistry and began working for Crown Zellerbach in the Research and Development Lab and then did environmental protection work for the company. After he retired he continues to do consulting work for the mill. He was brilliant, always reading and learning, trying to expand his mind. Edward loved animals and took care of many feral cats along with his own for many years. He also loved cars, especially his 1931 Model A Ford Roadster which he built with his grandson. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Eddy of Vancouver; son, Michael Eddy of Kihei, Hawaii; grandsons, Marc & Eric Eddy and granddaughter, Stephanie Eddy. He is loved and forever in our hearts. Private family services will be held at a later date. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
