Obituary of Gwendolyn Elizabeth Robinson

Gwendolyn Elizabeth Robinson Gwendolyn Robinson, 97, died Saturday Nov. 3rd in Camas. She was born October 11, 1910 in Spokane, WA to Rozella Williams and Charles A. Heath. She spent her childhood in Spokane until she married James Cox. They lived in many places during the depression but settled in Vancouver during WWII. Gwendolyn moved to Camas in 1971 and married Bud Robinson in 1976. They made their home in Carson until his death in 1985. She moved back to Washougal to be near family. She worked for Highland Terrace Nursing Center from 1971 until 1976 and spent her last days there where she received loving care. Special thanks to the Catholic church and Father Lappe who visited often and would give her communion. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter Rosalie Knutsen of Washougal; Grandchildren Tonya Nielsen of Beaverton, OR, Kerri Gallagan of Albuquerque, NM, Kim Cox of Portland, OR and Orlando, Michael and Carla Cox all of the Vancouver area. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Cox, Sr., husband Wilmer ?Bud? Robinson and sons Jim Cox, Jr. and Bill Cox. The family is planning private family services.
