CRAIG ELDON LEWIS
Craig Lewis, of Camas, passed away October 26, 2007 at the age of 61. He was born July 18, 1946 in Omak, WA to Henry and Enid Ives Lewis. Craig grew up in Omak and after high school he attended Eastern Washington Univ. in Cheney, WA. He began his teaching career in Winthrope, WA and then went to teach at Cle Elum and then back to Omak where he taught at Paschal Sherman School. Craig married Karen Lorenz in 1981 and they moved to Camas in 1984. He became a student counselor and worked at Lewis Junior High School and most recently at Ft. Vancouver High School.
He was a ?Car Freak? who loved antique cars and hot rods. He also enjoyed sports and coached tennis and football. Craig had a love of music and creative writing that included poems and children?s stories.
He is survived by his wife, Karen at home; son, Shaun and Dana Lewis of Lake Stevens, WA; daughter, Malia Lewis of Camas; brother Bill Lewis of CA, George Lewis of NV; In-Laws, Howard and Marilyn Lorenz of Camas, Bev Howard of Camas; granddaughter, Delaney Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Craig?s life will be held Thursday, November 1, at 4pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Memorial donations can be made to the Craig Lewis Memorial Fund c/o Vancouver School District Foundation P.O. Box 6039 Vancouver, WA 98668.
