I knew Carl when he was a teacher and tennis coach for FVHS. He was always so passionate about helping kids. It wasn\'t as important to him that they be great players but more important, have fun and become the best person you can be.
Carl loved being a father. He loved sharing stories of all the wonderful new things that his little girl was doing. I have never met a father who was so in love with his little girl. I have fond memories of the conversations we had about our children.
My thoughts and prayers are to you all.

Karen, Malia, Shaun and family,
I am sorry to hear of Craig sudden passing. Craig was a good man, who loved his family very much. Karen, I learned of this through talks with you. May you always remember the good times. You are a strong, caring woman and will pass this trait on to Malia.
No path is set in stone and only Gods knows when he needs us in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I cannot begin to express how saddened I am by Mr. Lewis\' passing away, and how much my sympathies, and thoughts go out to your family right now. I am a former FVHS student, and Craig Lewis was my counselor all throughout my high school career, and one of my favorite people in the world. I went through some very troubling personal issues my junior year of high school and Craig was there for me whenever I needed him. I could talk to him about everything, and he listened. We became very close, and very dear to each other, and he was always my "cheerleader". I am very sorry for your loss, and if there is anything I or anyone could do for the family, please let me know.

In all of my schooling, from elementary through college, not one teacher has had more influence on the future I am living now than Mr. Lewis. It is a shame that no more students will get to see his positive influence, and that he cannot impact more lives like he did mine.
He will be sorely missed by all of his previous students and all future students that do not get to meet, work with and be influenced by him insuch a positive way.
My condolences to all the Lewis family

Mr. Lewis was my daughter\'s counselor at Fort. In fact, we were in his office only a few weeks ago because of a situation, he was very helpful and so kind. In fact, I called today to make another appointment to hear the shocking news of his death. Although, I don\'t know his family, I want to pass along my condolences to his loved ones. He was a wonderful counselor and a beacon of light for so many students during diffcult times in their lives.

Dear Karen and Family,
I just wanted to let you know my Prayers are with you for now and the days to come. My heart just hurts for you all. But the good thing is you all have some very good and fond memories to hold and share as you go on with your lives. My main contact with him was in the Dentist office. Even though he didn\'t like being there, we still got a laugh or two out of him.

I have known Mr. Lewis since the second i was born literally, he was in the hospital room and he was also my councilor at Fort Vancouver. It was nice to have him at school, he would always come up to me at my lunch table when i was with my friends and say hi, and ask how my parents were. It was funny, because my friends thought it was the strangest thing that this man was coming up to me and patting my shoulder, asking about my family. I would always get weird looks from my friends until i explained to them that i have known him for like, ever. But, forever wasn\'t long enough. I regret not going into his office more and chit-chatting with him. but i know that once i get to heaven, i will go chit-chat with him while he works on his hot rods in his big garage in the sky.
"As long as we can love each other, & remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on ; in the hearts of everyone you have touched & nurtured while you were here"

Life can be so hard to understand. I will never forget when Craig and Karen were in the hospital room when my daughter was born 16 years ago. Only myself Karen and Craig would remember how Craig broke the tension with his visual of moms progress. Remember Karen?. Karen we have known you and Craig for 20 years and have memories that go back that long also. My thoughts, prayers and memories of those times will continue forever.
Craig, I am sure their is a hot rod lot and a big garage n Heaven for you to do all your tinkering.
Life is so hard to understand, but in some cases easier then the death.
All my love Karen.

Mr. Lewis, I have only known him since my starting year here at Fort. Three years gone by and I never had a single problem that he wasn\'t able to help me out with. Whether it was some issue having to do with school, home, or just regular everyday problems, Craig was always there to help and provided what is really missing from schools today. Its funny to think that not a week had gone since I had seen him and he had set aside personal time for me and him to discuss my medical problems.
He was a truly caring man, and I don\'t think I\'ll ever meet another like him. My deepest condolences go out to his family and close friends. I really believe that he will remain buried in your hearts forever, as he will in mine.

Dear Lewis Family, upon reading the paper this morning I was shocked to read of Craig?s passing. I work with him a few years back while working at Fort Vancouver in the attendance area and then later in another position at Fort. He was an honest man, and all the kids loved him, as did the staff that worked along side of him. He will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to work with him. We had many long talks on antique cars and the one that he had, we talked of the Car Show at Long Beach Every year. I will miss my work buddy for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of need. Debbie Hren
