Obituary of Robert D. Fryberger

ROBERT D. FRYBERGER Robert Fryberger passed away July 18 at home in Washougal at the age of 75. He was born January 1, 1931 in Shmokin, PA and moved to Oregon at the age of three. He then moved to the Mt. Pleasant area in 1940. Robert went to work for the Pendleton Woolen Mill and stayed there for 19 years. He then worked as a welder for the paper mill for 23 years before retiring. Robert married Geraldine McClellan on December 31, 1950 and they made their home in Washougal. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Camas where he served as an elder for over 15 years. As a boy he was involved with the Sea Scouts. He also enjoyed drawing cartoons and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deemer and Blanche Fryberger and sons, Samuel H. and Dennis P. Fryberger. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine at home; children, Robert S. of Washougal, Teri L. Maulding of Camas, Dennis M. of Orchards, Laura C.E. Vilhauer of Washougal; sister, Harriet M. Hooper of Vancouver; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Monday, July 24 at 10am at the Family Worship Center. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to the Family Worship Center @ 728 SE Sumner, Camas, WA 98607.
