Richards Family,
I just read the sad news about Archie, I did not know he had been ill. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Archie was not only "The Bear", but made school fun in the halls at Washougal High. He was a friend to everyone, making them laugh and smile. Larry & Millie, May the Lord give you peace in the loss of your brother.

I attended Washougal High School with Arch "The Bear", and was one of his many friends who lived with him at the infamous "Utah Street Commune\' in Camas during the early \'70\'s. During my battle with Leukemia, Arch was always there to help me with concernes with the many medications we both were taking, and always had a cheery attitude about getting through it.
I will always remember Arch with a smile. He was one of the best!
Larry, Al and family,
We were so sorry to hear about Archie. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Our sympathy, Jerry and Rita Carroll
I cannot attend the memorial service this morning. I will miss Arch and his mighty laugh! One fond memory I have of Archie was leading the Wrestling team in cheers at the Camas Basketball game in his Senior year. He really got in to it ... and it was fun. Farewell, my friend.
I just heard the news about Archie and I want to express my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I met Arch in 1973 when I moved to Camas and started working at the paper mill. Archie was a likeable, fun-loving guy and he made a real presence wherever he went. He introduced me to many of his friends and I felt very welcome in Camas and Washougal for the two short years I lived there. It\'s funny the paths our lives take. I moved away and eventually lost touch with Archie. I\'ve thought about him and some of the experiences we had many times over the years and had hoped that maybe someday we\'d see each other again, even if we were old men. I\'m sad now that I won\'t be able to. You\'ll always be in my memory, Bear. So long.
