BLAINE KLEMMER
Blaine Klemmer, age 69, passed away Tuesday, February 1 at home in Washougal. He was born February 15, 1935 in Seattle, WA and moved to Vancouver as a small child. He graduated from Vancouver High School in 1955 and later served in the Army being stationed in Germany. He returned to Vancouver where he drove truck and then became a plumber. In 1968 he married Marilee Kerns and they made the Camas/Washougal area their home. Blaine was an avid outdoorsman who loved to travel and be with his family and friends. He was retired from the Plumbers Local #290 and was a past member and president of both the Vancouver Four-Wheeler?s Jeep Club and the Clark County Saddle Club. He was also a longtime member of the Vancouver Slo Poks and was a Calf Roper and Team Roper with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
He is survived by his wife, Marilee, at home; son, Joe and his wife, Marie of Washougal; sister, Shirley Falk of Vancouver and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 12 at 10am at the Bethel Community Church in Washougal. Mr. Klemmer?s family requests that attendee?s may wear his favorite colors, red and Slo Pok green. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Crematory in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
