I am sorry for the loss of your father, grandpa, brother and friend. My dad, Wally Brown, who lived in Camas and Washougal in 1926, freshman year until 1936, always stopped to see Herman Hunter at his hardware store, on his way to visit old friends in Vancouver and Camas after he left the area. He bought a bicycle from Herman in 1941 to ride to work at the Portland shipyards for awhile because he lived close by. I believe it was the last one available before the war effort needed more metal. I, Wally’s daughter , still have it. I Would like to donate it to the museum or a relative if they want it. It was ridden in Camas by my dad’s father to the mill and my dad’s cousin rode it to the high school after 1941. My dad thought a lot of Herman and probably knew his family.
Condolences from our family in Vancouver, Ryderwood and Prosser. Pamela Sensney, Diane Reynoldson and Karen Rak
