Charlene, I am so sorry for your loss. Mark has many friends in the community who will each miss him in our own way.
It should be remembered what a gift Mark was for the citizens of Camas and Washougal. When he was first elected, the Port was at it's lowest point, having lost the public's trust.
Mark has been central to the many achievements in the years that have followed, from turning the public trust problem around 180 degrees, great leaps in economic development, and obtaining and protecting public access to our beautiful and historic waterfront. Our Port is now an example of first class local government.
Mark's engaging personality, great business sense, sharp mind, and his love for serving his adopted "home town" combined, at a critical time, to help set the Port on a new course. Our future will forever be better because of Mark's contributions. We have much to thank him for, many reasons he will be missed.
I will miss a good and true friend.
