Obituary of Cecil Earl Douglas

Cecil Earl Douglas was born on March 15, 1922 in Camas Washington. He died peacefully at home with his wife on September 25, 2013 at the age of 91. Cecil married the love of his life Shirley Foster on October 26, 1947. During their almost 66 years of marriage they enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, spending time with family and friends, wintering in Yuma, and sharing a home together. Cecil had the best yard on 32nd Street!
Cecil was a Tug Boat Operator and retired from Crown Zellerbach in 1985, he served as a Merchant Marine in World War 2, was a member of the Camas VFW, served as a District 1 Fireman for many years, was a member of the Washougal Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling with the 49'ers Trailer Club, loved playing golf, and was an avid hunter.
Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, father, 4 sisters, and 1 brother; and is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Kenny Corina, Gary Connie, and Steven Kathy; and daughter Kathy Douglas-Evans Jim; and many grand children, great-grand children, and great-great grand children.
A memorial for Cecil will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 3:00 p.m. at the Washougal Methodist Church, 4020 M Street, Washougal, WA 98671 across from the Washougal High School. Reception Dinner will follow the service.
