My condolences Jim, Allan, and the rest of the family. I had the good fortune of working with Ed on the Hot Springs Alemeda Street Upgrade project in Stevenson about 20 years ago. What a blessing to find out that George's two boys were such exceptional people. I am crying as I write this, but not sure if the tears are sadness or joy for having worked with Ed, Jim, Allan, and George. How blessed we all were to have known Ed Schmidt. Lord, please say hello to Ed.

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to end all suffering. Before long, God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4). May this promise from God give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

I have lived near Eddie for over 30 years. Every morning my friend June and I walk the road to his gate and back for exercise. We often ran into Eddie as he passed in his truck. He always stopped to visit with us. We loved to discuss the wildlife we would see around our properties, especially the bears and bobcats. He was a colorful character, a dedicated rancher, and he will be missed.
