Elton Reynolds (Ottie) Richardson, age 92, of Camas Washington, passed away from his short battle with cancer on June 22, 2020 in his home at Touchmark at Fairway Village.
Elton was born in Chelan Washington on September 23rd, 1927. He graduated from Chelan High School, and then joined the Marine Corp in 1945. Afterwards he attended and graduated from Central Washington State College with a degree in Education. He started his career as a band teacher in both Bridgeport and Washougal, then began teaching for the Camas School District in 1956 and remained there until he retired in 1981.
During his retirement he traveled with his wife Madeline to Europe and then with a motor home, through all the lower 48 states and capitols. Elton enjoyed golf, fishing, horseshoes, cribbage, and bridge, all of which he would attack with a fervor.
Elton was married to Madeline Richardson in 1949. Madeline passed away in 2011. He is survived by his sons: David [Valerie], Ron [Elma], Bob [Ellen] Richardson and his daughter Susie [Cliff] Keeney. He had 3 grandchildren: Kira, Chris [Michelle] Keeney and Ember [Luke] Shannahan. He also adored and enjoyed spending time with his 5 great grandchildren; Caden, Kennedy, Jake, Aiden, and Isaac. Elton spent his last 5 years in the company of the second love of his life, Diane Deibele.
Due to COVID-19, his memorial will be held at a later date, tentatively Labor Day Weekend.
Due to mass hysteria his toilet paper will be distributed evenly between his 4 adult children.
