Obituary of Oleta Elaine Platt

Oleta Elaine Platt of Washougal, WA passed away on March 6, 2019.  She was 88 years old.    Oleta was born on June 6, 1930 to parents Alva and Viola Calhoun in North Platte, Nebraska. She was a Washougal High School graduate.  

She later met Victor Allen Platt and they married at Zion Lutheran Church September 17, 1949.  They lived in Seattle, Tacoma, and Mt. Vernon before settling in Camas, Washington.  They had three children together.  

Oleta enjoyed watercolor painting, hardanger embroidery, traveling and camping and gardening.  She was always ready for a good laugh and in constant motion.  She always took the opportunity to travel and she loved her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Kevin C. Platt of West Linn, OR, Steven K Platt of Selah, WA, and Linda D Strunk of Salem, OR, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Oleta is preceded in death by her husband Victor A. Platt, sister Lois Carter, and parents Alva and Viola Calhoun.
