Oleta and I were fellow classmates, graduating from Washougal High School in 1948. As classmates we all were close friends getting into and out of trouble although not severe trouble. We continued as friends after school and especially when we could electronically communicate with each other, she became the messenger about class events. The last time, she invited my wife and me to her house where she shared a glass of wine and showed us her artwork as well as that of her son. She was very proud of her condo. Needless to say, I as well as a few of us still living, will miss this vibrant lady. I am sorry not to be able to attend her funeral as my wife is having surgery which prevents our coming.
