Thinking of you all as your mom passed. I still remember roller skating around your carport (must have been a huge racket for her in the kitchen window), and the forts we built. To this day I demonstrate Ronnie's windmill technique for kid boxing and the Ai eeeee that we yelled as we jumped down the tiny bank playing cowboys and Indians in Watrous's back yard.
Your mom was one of the few women in our neighborhood who had a career. I still remember feeling very round-eyed when we'd walk into the bank and there was Jimmy and Ronnie's mom! (Judy was too old to be a pal, and I only remember Grant as a baby:)
Time passes...but we do not forget those who were good to us as kids.

What a lovely picture ,she was always a beautiful lady. I've known Bettie since I was a little girl and later worked many years with her at the National Bank of Commerce. I haven't seen Bettie for a long while. Sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you all.

My goodness the young version of Bettie reminds me of her granddaughter Cathy. Both lovely and kind. My friendship with Bettie began in 1965 and continued to 2015. We met monthly with other retired bank employees for coffee and visiting. May the times you shared help comfort the family members.
