Uncle Jerry was always quick with a joke and had a big heart. His kids ran a close second in his heart next to Slick. Just kidding you guys. He is with his one true love, his family that has gone on before and his children that were taken too soon. My heart goes out to those who remain and loved him dearly and my hope is that God gives you some sort of peace and comfort. I love ya'll!

Jerry is my second cousin. He was so much fun, I remember going to the beach every summer with him and many Thackers, when I was a little girl. Clam digging , and just having a good time.I will always remember the beautiful Japanese doll he brought home to my sister and I when he was in the service. We both thought a lot of him, I will always remember him and Love him. RIP

Pops was a a great friend and grandfather. When I was little grandma would walk me down to the Texaco station and Pops would alwas get me a RC cola out of the pepsi machine. I always asked why ther was differnet sodas in there his reply was we drink Rc not pepsi. He taught me how to fish and hunt. With his stern glare and his guidance I turned my messed up life around. Love POPS be with grandma again I miss you both every day...

As I would leave Grandpa for the evening with a hug and kiss I and say, “You sleep real good Grandpa!” One night he caught me and said, “God dammit!!! I wish you’d quit saying that, I always end up sleeping like sh*# when you do!” I giggled a little, gave him a kiss on the forehead and said, “You sleep real sh*##y then!” He chuckled a little and hugged me tightly. And, from that day forward I learned to never jinx him of his beauty sleep again! May you rest real sh*##y Grandpa~ I love and miss your goodness with all my heart!! I remember Jerry making The biggest pizza ever when we were camping one year when I was about 20 years old. We have so many memories with this family through the years, visiting each others houses and camping.
