Francis, Jackie, Kim and Julie,
I came home from work today to a message from someone looking for the person handling the final affairs of Kirk Strobeck. I thought it was odd they were calling me, but I was sure it must be a different Kirk Strobeck. I was so shocked to find out that Kirk had died--and I am so sorry. Although he was pretty young when I knew him, I will always remember his curly hair, great personality and amazing smile. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Robin

I,m so sorry to hear about Kirk's passing, I met him about 8 1/2 years ago in Spokane,I just started driving truck,I needed some help and there was Kirk to help me. We exchanged phone numbers and became friends. When he was driving over the road we'd hook up when ever we could, I remember always giving him a bad time about whether or not his girlfriend actually existed then one day he showed up down my way with her brother Alex to vouch for him she did exist.I remember he liked his Mexican Food,I came into Portland under a load got held up so Kirk came picked me up and went to Chevy's, We sit down first thing he does he tells the waitress he a big tipper and that I'm not gunna leave a tip, Boy you who got the good service on that one. I'm gunna miss him.

I am very sad to learn of the passing of Kirk. He was a good and gentle man. He loved life, loved his friends and had a way with himself that set you at ease. Kirk saw life in a way that set him apart. He lived life the way it should be lived; each day was a gift to be enjoyed and shared. I am proud to have had Kirk as my friend. God Bless you Kirk on your journey, God Bless his family. My deepest sorrow to his Mother, Kim and family in this time of loss.

I'd like to share how Kirk Korky touched my life. We met when we were 3-4 years old We rode the bus to kindergarten, played out on recess, had snowball fights, practiced our band instuments. We were always together. I wasn't "a girl" to Kirk, I was his friend, but the only girl who ever went to his Birthday parties. We would walk into town or ride our bikes to the pool. I first realized Kirk liked motorcycles when we were less then 10, he took me for a ride on his mini bike. I watched him play baseball, spent a lot of time together at his new house up Woodburn hill. In 1990 after his 30th Birthday party he and I went out a couple of times, he'd ride his bike over to the house, but we always took my car. The last time I saw him was at our 20 yr. reunion, I had just lost my Dad, we sat at the bar and toasted my Dad. These are but a few of the memories I have tucked away in my heart. I loved him and will miss him.

I would like to share a few memorys of Kirk. Well First I used to work with Kirk and Exterior Wood where I was a truck loader and he was a Truck Driver. We hit it off right off the bat, he always had time to see how I was doing and make my day worth more then just a pay check. Kirk, Alison and my wife and I would go out for dinner at time and hang out and we would have a blast. I left Exterior to drive truck and Kirk was always there to help me figure out anything I needed. He would call me and vent to me as I would to him and sometime we would be talking for hours with our headsets on just talking up a storm.. Well Kirk one day said " My truck smells like a pizzaria" and I was questioning what he had just said. He then started talking about his Lunch Box Oven in this truck and how I needed to get one.. I tell you what I told Kirk he needed to be a salesmen because he sold me on it and later I had one.. Kirk well tell me all kinds of things I can cook in there while I was driving lol.. One time we met for lunch and we both had our lunch box ovens going in our rigs and ate on teh side of the rode heh.. On my 30th Bday Kirk bought me Man Guards depends and Pink baby stool for the potty lol.. I still have them today. Kirks sense of humor was amazing, he could dish it out yet take it as well.. his ability to make me laugh when I was having a bad day was amazing. Kirk was always wanting me to go camping with him and his friends at teh shack but times just never would work out for me and I am sad I missed out of that time. Kirk was not only a friend to me but a person I looked up to and he is going to be missed.
God thank you for time I got to share with Kirk. He was a blessing in my life and for that I praise you.

Jackie, I just read the paper and was saddened by the loss of your son Kirk. Although I did not have the pleasure of ever meeting him it seems like he was a wonderful human being and lived life his way while making those around him better for it. We never expect to bury our beloved children and can only do the best we can in being a part of their lives always. Please accept my sincere heartfelt pain at your loss. The endless memories that Kirk gifted you with will always be a source of warmth for your heart and you can recall and relive them whenever you wish. Special people are often called too early, but they leave behind such hugh amounts of sunshine that the burden of their departure is somehow softened until you meet again, and that WILL happen. Sincerely--- Ecclesiastes:1-2----------Ben A. De Lozier
PS I knew you at Union Carbide at the time the transition was taking place of the Silicon plant and the Crystals plant merged, I was Supervisor of the Growth Department

We knew each other as kids. Growing up and playing in the park, riding bikes in the rock products, fun in the river, school days, it was all fun because Kirk made it fun. I can not express the sadness at hearing he is no longer with us. To the entire family; Allison, father Francis, mother Jackie, brother and best friend Kim, little sister Julie, and the extended family my prayers are with you. This is the hardest part of life to get through but with time, the prayers and love of others, and holding up each other you will make it. Love and prayers to you all.
