Although we had lost touch, Pastor Schroeder was very special to our family, especially to my mom Shirley, who passed almost a year ago. He helped her through some very tough times. Lois, John, Sue and the rest of your family, thank you for sharing him with us. Our lives were blessed by having him as our pastor!

Grace~Peace~Comfort.... it is with a heavy heart that we sign in... Pastor Burt touched our family with his genlte spirit, strong faith, giving heart, joyous laughter and the perfect stories to start each sermon.
May the Promise of Our Lord of Enternal Life with Him bring you all Comfort and Peace.
I came across Evan's Baptism Picture last week - Burt was cradling him in his arms - the bright, ever present smile broad across his face. That is how my heart remembers him this day....
Wrap up in your prayer shaw, Lois, and feel the love and prayers that suround you...Thank you for sharing him with all of us! We were blessed. Amen.
With Love, Evan, Alex, Mark & Darcy

Pastor and Lois came to Zion the year I graduated from Washougal High. When visiting my parent's, Doris & Elmer, "coming home" to Zion, always did my heart good. We all treasured Pastor's friendship and love of God.I'll always be greatful for being so caring to my parents as their health failed.Pastor&Lois were such a wonderful team..their sincerity warmed us all. God bless to the family.

Dear Lois & family, We are so sorry for your loss. Pastor Burt was such a gentle & caring man & such a big part of our family's celebrations & heartaches. He performed both our wedding & that of our daughter, Gretchen. We were in Hawaii & unable to attend his service, but our thoughts & prayers are with you all. To the entire Schroeder Family, My deepest sympathies are sent to each and every one of you. Your father husband was always, always so dear and so special to me. At games, keeping Zephyr and all the visits we had over the years. He was such a special person and so giving. What a sad and hard hard loss. I will be saying extra prayers for you...for strength, for peace and for comfort. With my deepest sympathy, Colleen

My brother and I would like to offer our condolences. We are sorry to hear of Pastor Burt's passing, knowing how much he will be missed here on earth. But we are also happy for him knowing he's resting in the grace of God. Derek said to say, "He was a good pastor and gave a good service. He was nice to me. We'll still miss him." I'll agree with him and add that he was a kind and patient, gentle man and a gentleman. Our love and prayers are with your friends and family.-Sheila

What an amazing life! It is impressive and somewhat overwhelming to see the path and the results of a life lived in wholehearted service to the King. I have no doubt that there many hundreds of lives that have been significantly touched by him. I wish I could have met him. We are praying that the service will be significant in the lives of all who attend.
