Sorry to hear Janice Drake is gone. We grew up together in the same neighborhood. Have a lot of memories. She could hit a softball as good as most guys and I even saw her put on boxing gloves and whip one of the boys. I wont mention his name, no need to Humiliate any one. She was a great spirit, And always a friend.

Dear Al, Ed, Bonnie,
Lisa & I were saddened to learn of Janice's passing. Janice was quite a character, and touched a lot of people in her life in so many ways. As for me, my children, and my wife, Janice was a true-blue friend that was always there for us, no matter what. Sometimes the dose of love and help we needed came with a stern lecture, but no matter the hour or the need, Janice was always there for us.
I am overseas and unable to attend the service. Please know that my thoughts are with you all.

To Janice's family ~
I was very sorry to hear of Janice's illness & passing. She will be greatly missed by the community & her family & friends. Working with Janice at the Post-Record left me with two very special, favorite memories ~ her experiences with "The Six-Million-Dollar Man" & penny Tootsie Rolls "borrowed" from Carl's. My condolences. Take care. Zona Callahan

Our condolences to the family of Janice. We are your Kittson related cousins The Woodruff's. Our grandmother was Virginia Brouillard Kittson, sister of Blanche's father, Albert Brouillard. I am sure that when we were young and lived in Salem and also when there were the many early family reunions with the Kittson's & Brouillard's we met & knew Janice, though now I can not remember her. We knew her mother as well as the others in that part of the family as they would come to visit grandma when we lived in Salem. I was surprised to see that Janice's birthday was was Oct 4th the same as our mother Rosa and that Janice died on Sept 7th. Our mother died on Sept. 8th several years ago now. We have recently gone through the loss of our father, Floyd, so do know that you will be missing Janice for some time. Cousins Jack & Mary Hewson are keeping us informed and we are passing the information along to the rest of the Kittson families. We will keep you all in our prayers, Roxanne Woodruff & sisters

I am so sorry that Janice passed away. She was my favorite cousin-in-law!. We had such good times together & she was looking forward to going to Niagara Falls for her birthday next month. We would have had lots of laughs here in Michigan. We always had to shop, cook, & clean when we were together! I just loved to be with she & Alvin! I will really miss her! I know she will be in Heaven looking down upon us & smiling! Lots of love, Shirley DeReese Mitchell

Although we have only known Janice for the past 6 or 7 years, we will miss the smiles & hugs she always shared. It will be hard visiting with friends at the beach without her there around the camp fire behind their beach house.
Janice could always be counted on to add a bit of humor and knowledge to all the conversations. She was loved by all and will be missed.
She was a person one could call a real friend.
