Sylvester J. Gilson Sylvester John Gilson died May 31, 2009 in Vancouver, WA. He was 82 years old. He was born June 12, 1926, in Rhinelander, WI.., to Earl and Myrtle Gilson. Resident of Camas for the last 56 years. He retired from the Camas Papermill in 1989 after 35 years. He is survived by his loving wife Audrey of 59 years. His brother Doug Gilson of Washougal, WA, his sister Ruth Johnson of Minnesota,. Daughters Tina Bair of Washougal, WA, Sandy Farley of Las Vegas, NV., Sons Tony Gilson of Vancouver, WA, Terry Gilson of Havre, MT, Dennis and Robert Gilson of Camas, WA. He had 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on June 4, 2009 at 2pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will be private at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.
