Obituary of Raymond Anthony Hunt

RAYMOND ANTHONY HUNT Raymond Anthony Hunt, age 87, passed away March 29, 2009 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. He was born September 6, 1921 in Portland, OR where raised and attended school. Raymond joined the US Coast Guard and served during WWII. He returned to Portland where he operated a service station. In 1957 he opened Ray Hunt Chevrolet in Camas which he operated until 1990. He also owned NW Golf Carts in Vancouver from 1986 to 2001 when he retired. His passion was boats and fishing and he operated a charter boat with his son, Jeff. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Dolores. Survivors include his sons, Tony & Sherry of Washougal, Jeff & Linda of Gulf Breeze, FL; daughter, Carole & Chuck Blevins of Long Beach, WA; grandchildren, Kenny Hunt, Melissa Alfona, Molly King, Bryan and Taylor Hunt and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later this spring. At his request his ashes will be scattered at sea off Depoe Bay, OR. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the Ray Hickey Hospice House @ 2112 E.
