At some point in our lives we acquire the honesty to thank and credit those great souls who have helped to form the people we have become. We thank the parents, the teachers, the coaches, the friends, the workmates, the
children, those Life Enrichers. As young people we find examples, role models we admire and if we are fortunate, they become friends. During my early
years at Tidland Corporation Berry was such a hero. He managed freight shipments to and from our local vendors in the Portland area, inspecting
quality, expediting rush orders and issuing his own personal brand of motivation. He did it all with that famous smile and we loved him for it. To much of the local industry of material suppliers, Berry was the face of Tidland and he cast a big shadow. I am grateful to have known the man and to call him friend. My condolences to his extended family and to all those blessed with having known the great Merwin Berry. Thank you Berry.
