As I picked up Papa\'s ashes, I recall one of my fondest memories of him. When I was little, I would ask, "Papa go cony" I cound\'t say candy yet. Even as I was a teen, He would still say "cony" when he was talking to me. Papa had a BIG sweet tooth. I took papa to get candy one last time before I took him to the church for the mass.
Papa was there to help raise me. He tought me how inportant the Lord, education, and family was to him. I still have these strong values. I hole them close to my hart with All of the great memories of Papa.

Maurice\'s cousins the Shepherds in New Zealand - posted a condolence
Monday, June 9, 2008
To: Mary, Tony and families
From: Maurice\'s cousins the Shepherds in New Zealand - Jewel Keating nee Shepherd,
Irwin Shepherd, Audrey Wilson nee Shepherd and David Shepherd
Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences at this sad time. Maurice was our
cousin on our mother\'s side. Aunty Helen Maurice\'s mother was our mother\'s younger
sister. We have just lost another part of our corner of paradise - our young days
together as family - grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Those were such
idlyllic days and we shared so many happy times together until the war split us all
apart - physically. We used to meet sometimes during our Christmas 3 months break
on our return home from various boarding schools and have much fun together -
Maurice once dressing up as a ghost when his father Uncle George pretended to
start out on a trip to a haunted house! His sisters Cherry, the late Christina and I
Audrey were the intrepid ghost busters with Uncle George as our leader. We didn\'t
of course get far when Maurice appeared on the scene. Some lovely memories!
God Bless Maurice and may he rest in peace.
Our thoughts are with all of you. God Bless.

George was truly a very special man. I enjoyed our visits and I will miss seeing him everyday when I go up to see my Mom. He was a gentleman and always had a lot of class. It was a privilege to have known him and to call him a friend.
