I remember Danny from high school in St. Maries and listening to him on KOFE. I had the biggest crush on him then, but he only had eyes for Rayda so we became good friends instead. Whenever I hear Karen Carpenter sing "Close To You", I become that young star struck girl again and remember that sweet young man with the long hair and time just seems to disappear.
Tootie, Diane, Rayda and families, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Danny was much loved and will be missed by all that knew him. It seems that he was able to live his life as he wanted for the short time he was here. Knowing him, he is taking an active role in Heaven and enjoying his next dive.

I wish tears could wash away the sorrow, but sometimes grief is too deep to reach.
Your \'Long and Winding Road\' was far too short yet you were fortunate to see many things you wanted to see.
You touched the lives of many in a good way; it\'s good to know that people respected you and appreciated your delicious wit and slightly off-center view of the world.
You always did things early except for learning to tie your shoes so I guess it\'s not surprising you left us far too soon.
There is some solace in knowing that you called the shots; that you retained you dignity.
I\'ll miss the blue carnations on Mother\'s Day; the \'soap-boxing\'; your righteous indignation; "You\'ve got to be kidding!"; your phone calls; so may things; - most of all I\'ll always miss you.
That what could have been was done and now \'Adieu\' beloved son.

I am sorry to hear about Danny. I knew him when we were all teens. My hometown is Harrison and I went back every year. The Yearouts lived above my Aunt\'s home, Glenna Ross. Bless the family - so glad to see that Danny grew into what sounds like a nice man, as he was a "kid". Diana

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Danny. I remember him as a wonderful, loving, and gentle soul. I traded my white Beatle\'s Album to him for his Grand Funk Railroad. Mostly what I remember is how much he loved his family and his sister, my best friend, Tootie. I spent many happy hours with him and a really great family. I am glad to know he had a wonderful life. May God comfort and keep you Betty, Diane, David, Delores, and Debbie. Please know you are in our prayers,
With Love,
Shannon

His smile will forever be with you all...
I remember Dan as someone I could feel comfortable around. A man of my trust. A guy who tried to help me land a job in \'86 in King County, after I graduated from N.I.C. computer programming classes. Although we weren\'t best friends, we considered ourselves \'friends of friends\'.
Dan had a way of making the most of any situation, and gave me hope during a tough time in my life. And he made me laugh...a lot...back in the old days at St. Maries.
Thanks, Dan for being so cool to me, and backing me up.
