Obituary of Ella Naomi Buttrick

ELLA N. BUTTRICK Ella Buttrick, age 85, passed away January 20 in Camas. She was born October 1, 1922 in Lindenwood, IL to Mae Roberts and Laverne Barnes. Ella grew up in Sycamore, IL and joined the Navy serving during WWII. While in the Navy she married a Marine named Walter Buttrick. They eventually settled in Oceanside, CA and raised their family. They retired and moved to Camas in May of 1980. Ella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. She also loved to travel and did excellent needlework. She is survived by her husband, Walter, at home; sons, Rex of Camas, Brian of Oceanside, Scott of Oregon; daughter, Connie Franklin of Camas; sister, Jeannie Blinde of Honolulu, Hawaii; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
