Obituary of Wendy Mae Bredesen

WENDY MAE BREDESEN Wendy Mae Bredesen, a Goldendale, WA resident, died on Saturday January 26th in The Dalles, Oregon. She was 57. Wendy was born in Tracy, California to William H. and Dorothy L. Longero Kurts. She lived in many different places as a young child as her father was in the Army. In 1968 she moved to Red Bluff, California and then to Portland in 1970. She worked with her mother at the Barbur Boulevard Truck Stop as a waitress. She moved to Camas in the early â??70â??s and worked at Highland Terrace Nursing Center as a CNA. She also worked in home care from 1987-1992 when she retired. She married Jim Bredesen in 1987 and they moved to Goldendale in 2002. Wendy enjoyed canning, baking, camping, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, Yahtzee and other board games. Wendy is survived by her husband Jim of Goldendale; Children Susan Barnes of Camas, Dori Cardon of Vancouver, Tamilyn Bredesen of LaCenter, Timothy Bredesen of Vancouver, Tanya Wilson of Camas and Howey Gorton of Port Angeles; Sister Debby Hauer of Portland; Brothers Danny Gorton of Portland and Rodney Gorton of St. Helens, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services for Wendy Bredesen will be Thursday, January 31st at 3 PM at Straubâ??s Funeral Home in Camas. Visitation will precede the service that day from 10 AM until service time.
