Obituary of Ivan Paul Wurzer

Ivan P. Wurzer died at his home on Wednesday night. He was 67 years old. Services are being held on Tuesday, December 16th at 10am at St. Thomas Aquainas Catholic Church in Camas, WA. A vigil service will be held Monday, December 15 at 5:30 PM at Straub's Funeral Home. Ivan was born on August 14, 1941 in Valley City, North Dakota, and eventually moved to the Pacific Northwest with his family. He was a graduate of Washougal High School, and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Ivan spent his life supporting his family working at the Camas paper mill. He had a great love of the outdoors that he passed on to his children, including sturgeon fishing, deer hunting and camping. He had a remarkable natural artistic talent with wood, from sculpture to intricate design work. His other great joy was spending time with his grand-daughters. He is survived by his wife Carol Wurzer, his children James Wurzer and JoeAnne Wurzer, his two grandchildren Mary-Elizabeth and Lauren.
