Obituary of Evelyne Eileen Cameron

EVELYNE EILEEN CAMERON Evelyne Cameron, of Washougal, passed away, December 4, 2008 in Vancouver at the age of 80. She was born February 21, 1928 in Oâ??Neil, NE to James and Velda Jackson. They moved to the Camas/Washougal area when she was four and that is where she grew up. She met James Cameron and they were married on August 17, 1946 in Camas. Evelyne was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls and Zion Lutheran Church. She loved to golf, cook and sew and was a member at Orchard Hills Country Club. She is survived by her husband, James E. of Washougal; children, Shari Cox of Thompson Falls, MT, Sandie Cameron of Prescott, AZ; brothers, Milan Jackson of Eagle, ID, Bob Jackson of LaCenter, WA; grandchildren Edward and James Cox and 7 great grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be private at the Camas Cemetery. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
