Obituary of Kathryn H. Montgomery

Kathryn H. Montgomery Kathryn Montgomery, a Washougal resident, died at her home on Tuesday November 13th. She was 88. Kathryn was born in Willow Creek, ND on September 15, 1919 to Lela Mae Randall and Frank Siefert. She moved to Portland in 1931 where she attended Peninsula School. She lived a year at Corbett before moving to Taft, Lincoln Beach and Depoe Bay. She moved back to Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. After graduation she moved back to the coast where she worked at a coffee shop and for the Aquarium. She moved to Portland and worked for Montgomery Ward in the mail order department. There she met Donald Montgomery and they were married May 13, 1944. In 1948 they moved to Washington where Don worked for Crown Zellerbach. Her main pleasures were her home and garden. She loved to travel and later got into ceramics and oil painting. She attended the Camas Friends Church. Donald preceded her in death in 2002. Private interment was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. Memorial services will be held at the Camas Friends Church on Sunday November 19th at 4 PM.
