DAYTON DEAN BRUMBAUGH Dayton Dean Brumbaugh died August 3, 2007 in Camas at the age of 66. He was born December 31, 1940 in Yonkers, NY. His family moved to Portland where he attended Portsmouth Elementary and graduated from Benson High School. Dayton could fix just about anything mechanical and his solutions to problems were always innovative. He preferred working with metal but was also very creative with wood. He especially enjoyed all of the older Australian Shepherds he and Diana rescued. They made sure he got enough exercise. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diana; son, Dean Brumbaugh Sheryl of Battle Ground; daughters, Tamara Nielson Sam of Michigan and Jennifer Ohman Jay of Florida; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and dearest friend Lloyd Marbet. At his request there will be no public services. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers please give an old dog a home for it?s remaining years or contribute to a humane society or an animal rescue of your choice.
