Obituary of Clarence Frank Maples

CLARENCE FRANK MAPLES Frank Maples, age 79, passed away August 6, 2007 at home in Camas. He was born January 18, 1928 in Selma, CA and moved to Scappoose, OR as a young child. Frank lied about his age and joined the Marines when he was 16. He served at the end of WWII and after his discharge moved several places before settling in Ventura, CA. Frank married Angelina Moraga in the early 1950?s and went to work in the oil fields. He moved to Camas a year ago and loved to garden, gamble, do crosswords and watch John Wayne movies. He also loved his grandbabies. He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Maples of Thousand Oaks, CA, Robert Maples of Camas, WA; daughters, Donna Prince of Seattle, WA, Anna Flores of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Bud Maples of Montana; sisters, Lou Maples and Jeanie Maples both of Oklahoma and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Graveside services at Willamette National Cemetery are pending. Arrangements are under the care of Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas.
