Obituary of Vena Joyce Gaines

VENA JOYCE GAINES Vena Gaines of Washougal passed away June 20, 2007 in Vancouver, WA at the age of 68. She was born August 5, 1938 in Denesee, ID. She grew up in Camas and married George Gaines. They moved to Seattle where she worked as a homemaker. After George passed away she moved back to Washougal in 1997. Vena enjoyed building birdhouses, going fishing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1996. Survivors include her son, George of Washougal, WA; brothers, Willie Compher of Washougal, Lloyd Compher of Camas, Leonard Compher of Renton, WA and Kenny Compher of Brush Prairie. Private services will be held at a later date. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
