MARY JAMES
Mary James, a long time Camas resident, passed away May 16, 2007 in Vancouver at the age of 77. She was born August 14, 1929 in Vancouver where she was raised. She married Leonard James in 1951 and the made there home in Camas. Mary started working at Crown Zellerbach paper mill in 1958 and retired in 1983. Mary enjoyed doing arts and crafts and also had a green thumb in the garden. She liked her trips to Reno and deep sea fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; brothers, John, Joseph, Carl, Edward and twin brother William Shefcheck; sisters, Minnie Sayer, Julia Fisher and Celia Dunbar.
She is survived by her children, Peter and Gary James both of Camas; Jackie Veith and Richard James both of Vancouver and Sherrie Jaynes of Ridgefield; brothers, James Shefcheck of Washougal and Robert Shefcheck of Amboy; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
