RICHARD CHARLES SPITZER Richard Spitzer, 68, passed away Wednesday, May 2 at home in Washougal. He was born October 23, 1938 in Bent County, CO. He was raised in Beaverton, OR where he graduated from high school. Richard joined the Navy and after his service he returned to Beaverton and worked for Tektronincs. He would later go to work for Hewlett Packard. On march 5, 1965 he married Carol Page in Grants Pass, OR. In 1982 they moved to Vancouver before settling to Washougal in 1993. Richard spent the past 8 years working for Cascade Fire Service. He was a member and a Deacon of the Church of Christ in Hockinson. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and John Deere tractors. God and family where very important to him. He is survived by his wife, Carol at home; son, Michael of Camas, daughters, Amber Lewis and Melinda Shaver both of Vancouver, son Richard of Alabama and daughter, Virginia; sisters, Nancy Snider of Gaston, OR, Nova Jackson of Carlton, OR; and 3 grandchildren. A life celebration service will be held Tuesday, May 8 at 1pm at the Hockinson Church of Christ 16401 NE 182nd, Brush Prairie, WA 98606.
