Obituary of Eric Reed Corey

ERIC REED COREY Feb. 1, 1982?March 10,2007 Eric will be remembered for his happy and easygoing manner. He loved life and put his heart and soul into having a good time. Eric was interested in anything that involved being outdoors and spent countless hours doing what he loved most; four-wheeling in one of his many trucks, riding his snowmobile or dirt bike, boating and fishing, or on a hunting trip with his beloved brother, Nick. In the last year, Eric had a new love in his life, his daughter Katelyn, She brought out the best in hint. He was a loving father and a man who accepted responsibility without question simply because of his love for her. Eric was surrounded by the love of his mother and stepfather; Janet and Mark Lawrence; his sister and her family, Holly, Geoff, Isaac, and Makenzie Taylor, and his brother and wife, Nick and Alex Corey. He will never be forgotten by his grandparents, Esther and Bert Shank; his Aunt, Ruth Sternoff and his cousins, Sarah and Andrew; his Aunt and Uncle, Susan and Mike Close and cousins, Anndria, Adriann, Aimee, and Allison. Eric completed a four year apprenticeship in carpentry and became a journeyman carpenter. He received the Apprentice of the Year award in 2004 from Performance Contracting, Inc. He was valued by his work colleagues for his dedication to the job. Eric?s memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 1:00pm, at Grace Four Square Church, 717 SE Everett Road, in Camas, Wash. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to his daughter?s college fund. Contributions can be made to the Eric Corey Memorial Fund, established for Katelyn?s education, at any Bank of America.
