Obituary of Allene ''Beany'' Dorothy Bachelder

ALLENE BEANY BACHELDER Allene Beany Dorothy Bachelder, age 96,peacefully passed away March 8, 2007 in Camas, WA. Beany, as her family and friends called her, was born in Portland, OR April 16, 1910. She was a third grade teacher. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the Oregon Coast in her little Model A with her girlfriends. It was on one of these trips to the coast that Beany met her husband Ray Bachelder, who loved to tell the story of their ?love at first sight? meeting. He told his two friends that day that the blonde was going to be the girl he would marry. They did marry and move to Camas when Ray became a pharmacist and half owner of the Economy Drug Store. He preceded her in death in November of 1999. Survivors include son, Don Bachelder and wife, Brenda and their children Holly Tiller and son Matthew Bachelder; son, Robert Bachelder and his wife, Melissa and their children Robyn Bachelder, Russell Bachelder and Cameron Bachelder; daughter, Kathy Butterick and her husband ,Will and her daughter, Samantha McCabe and son, Patrick Busby; son, Terry Bachelder and his daughter, Jennifer Gilmore. She also had seven great grandchildren. Special thanks to Mountainview House and Hospice for their kindness and caring. Any remembrances can be made to St. John?s Presbyterian Church. At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral service. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the private family graveside service.
