Obituary of Yvonne Rose Durgan

YVONNE ROSE DURGAN Yvonne Rose Durgan, commonly known as Bonnie, died from cancer on Saturday February 24th in Bickleton, WA. Bonnie was born April 1, 1941 in Camas, WA to George and Lola Dinwiddie Gaines. Bonnie was born two days after her mother?s and older sister?s birthdays and they always enjoyed celebrating together. Bonnie married William Durgan on February 14, 1973 at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Bill died April 7, 1993. She moved to North Bonneville a short time later. Bonnie worked as a cook at several area restaurants. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing pool, darts and gardening. She was an outgoing, joyful person who was enjoyable to be with. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Bonnie is survived by her brothers Joseph Gaines of Jacksonville, NC, Walter Gaines of Roy, WA and Jerry Gaines of Bickleton, WA as well as her friend Joe Anderson and companion Carolyn Gailey. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Janice, Carol and Barbara and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister and two brothers. Graveside services for Bonnie Durgan will be Wednesday February 28th at noon at Washougal Memorial Cemetery. To send condolences or sign the online guest book please visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
