Obituary of Margaret Ellen Jacobs

MARGARET ELLEN JACOBS Margaret Jacobs, age 97, passed away February 3, 2007 in Vancouver. She was born March 10, 1909 in Aldridge, MT to Robert and Jennette Curdy. She attended Western Montana College and the University of Montana. Margaret was a teacher for 13 years in Livingston, MT elementary schools and married Eugene Jacobs on November 4, 1944. They moved to Camas in 1945and she taught for 6 years in Washougal schools before retiring in 1970. She was a member and an elder at St. John?s Presbyterian Church in Camas. Margaret enjoyed reading, flowers and especially children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 1988, step-son Edwin Jacobs in 1985, brothers, David Curdy in 1990 and Robert William Curdy in 1992, grandson Kenny Jacobs in 2002 and daughter-in-law, Joyce Jacobs in 2006. She is survived by her, son, Robert L. Jacobs of Camas; 5 grandchildren, 9, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, February 10 at 11am at St. John?s Presbyterian Church in Camas. Burial will be private at the Camas Cemetery.
