Obituary of James Rouches

In memory of our loving husband, father and ''Papou''. James Rouches passed away Sunday Jan. 28 2007 at the age of 82. He was born in Milwaukee, WI to Greek immigrant parents and moved to Portland, OR in 1946, after serving in WWII . He was a chef at his Uncle's restaurant, Burns Restaurant, where he met Shirley, his bride of 54 years. They moved to Vancouver in 1978 where he retired from Franz Bakery. Jim loved to travel and attended his grand children's sporting events faithfully. Jim lived each day to it's fullest and he will truly be missed. He had a great sense of humor coupled with an infectious laugh. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Shirley; son , Dan ; daughter, Nancy ; five grandchildren, and his older sister Georgia Vakos who lives in South Carolina. There will be a Celebration of Jimmy's life on Saturday 2/3/07 at the Vancouver Elks from 1 to 6 pm.
