Obituary of James Gerald Cowan

JAMES GERALD COWAN James Cowan, age 64 from Carson, WA, passed away January 25 at SW Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. James was born March 22, 1942 in Colorado Springs, CO to James W. and Sarah Cowan. He graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, CO and later attended Pueblo Community College. Mr. Cowan worked as a Corrections Officer for 40 years and was also a Lieutenant with the Volunteer Fire Department in Pueblo West. After he retired he moved to Carson, WA in 2001. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and working in his shop. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Carson, WA; son, Jim Cowan of Carson, WA; step-children, Deborah Perrino of Kissimmee, FL, Tamarah Snapp of Oxford, OH, Diederah Cowan of Carson, WA, Ellis Clark of Panama City Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. There will be no public services. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
