Obituary of Lorraine Wagoner

Anna Lorraine Wagoner Age 88 Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & sister passed away January 11, 2007. She was born to Clarence & Nellie Kelly on November 16, 1918, in Roundup, MT. She grew up in Roundup where she met and married Joseph Russell Wagoner in 1939. They moved to Vancouver in 1944, and later settled on Fern Prairie in Camas where she lived for 59 years. Lorraine had a thorough enjoyment of life; especially spending time with her family. In their retirement years, she and Joe spent winters in Arizona in their RV enjoying the sunshine and good card games. Until she fell ill recently, she looked forward to weekly card games with her many friends. In addition to playing cards, she liked to camp, fish, and travel. Her travels took her to Florida, Branson, Texas, Arizona, California, Indiana, & Hawaii. She loved her home & created many paintings. Each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren has the pleasure of owning an afghan which Lorraine crocheted and many of them also have the privilege of owning one of her oil paintings. She touched many lives and she will be missed and remembered fondly by all who had the good fortune of knowing her. She was a member of the Fern Prairie Grange, Catholic Daughters, and St Thomas Aquinas Church in Camas. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Wagoner and daughter Doris Jean Wagoner. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, John and Penny Wagoner and Larry and Shelley Wagoner of Washougal, and Dennis and Shirley Wagoner of Spokane Valley, WA., 9 grandchildren, Debbie Lee of Oak Park, IL, Richard, Michael, & Robert Wagoner of Spokane Valley, Talitha Wagoner of Battleground, Rebecca Frye and Andrew AJ, and Lucas Wagoner of Washougal, and Anna Wagoner of Camas. Great Grandchildren include Vanessa Schelley of Vancouver, Ryan, Renae, Nicol, Joe, Kameron, and Sara Wagoner, of Spokane Valley, Stephanie Lee of Vancouver, BC, Jeriah, Levi, Caleb, and Gabriel Frye of Washougal and Brayden Stoupe of Vancouver and brother Terry Kelly of Auburn, WA. Rosary will be held Friday December 19,2007 at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Camas at 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday December 20 11 AM at the Church with Father Derrick Lappe officiating. Final resting place is Fern Prairie Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St Vincent Paul Society for work in the Camas Washougal area. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas.
