WILBUR B. EVITT
Wilbur Evitt, age 76, passed away January 10 at home in Vancouver. He was born August 12, 1930 in Chelan, WA where he grew up and graduated from high school. Wilbur joined the Air Force in 1950 during the Korean conflict. After his discharge he worked as a specialist in electronic communication all over the world. Mr. Evitt worked for RCA in Anchorage for many years and then transferred to the Vancouver area in 1982 where he worked until retirement.
Wilbur was a member of the 40 et 8, the Box Car Association, American Legion Post 0014 in Vancouver as well as a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a honorary submariner on the USS Trout.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Spurgeon of Spokane, WA; niece, Janet Link of Spokane, WA and grandnephews Casey Spurgeon of Spokane, WA and T.J. Mack of Yelm, WA.
At his request there will be no public services. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to the American Heart Association. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
