William Hays Bill, we release you into God?s loving presence. We already miss you so much. Your desire was to pass the baton on to the next generation. We declare this day that we will take the baton and run the race and finish well the way you did. We love you. One of God?s soldiers was called to report to his Commander and Chief on January 6, 2007 . Bill Hays, loving husband and father quietly stepped out of this life into his heavenly home after an intense battle with cancer. Bill and Edra were married for 48 years. Bill was born in Forks, WA on 8/15/39 to Etna Lester Hays and Mae Maki Hays. He is survived by his wife Edra and his sons Rob Hays, Timothy Hays of Vancouver, WA, Lance Hays of Pocatello, ID and only daughter Alette Reed-Hicks of Vancouver , WA ; his sisters Judy Hays and Juanita Smith both of Aberdeen, WA; his much loved grandchildren Kristi Sanger, Tiffany Reed, Joshua and Amanda Hays, Blake, Zachary and Nicholas Reed and Great-grand children Caine and Alette Carr, Isaiah and Kiela Sanger. Bill was a fervent, committed man of God, loyal friend and mentor of many. His last days were spent speaking a blessing over all his children and grandchildren and calling forth the God appointed destiny for their lives. In his early years Bill worked in the lumber industry in Grays Harbor and the last 20 years in property management in Clark County. He was an ordained minister of the Spiritual Freedom Church , Northwest Regional Director of Do What Jesus Did and local DWJD Team leader. A funeral service will be Thursday, January 11 at 11am at Shiloh Fellowship Church in Vancouver. Burial will be Friday January 12 at 1pm at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cosmopolis, WA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
