ROSEMARY GUINN-BURTON
Rosemary Guinn-Burton, age 90, passed away December 27, 2006 in Longview, WA. She was born April 11, 1916 in Baker, OR to John and Bertha Ewry O?Dair. Rosemary grew up in Granite and Baker, OR and attended St. Francis Academy in Baker. She later attended Oregon State University on a music scholarship. In 1941 she moved to Washougal where she lived until moving to Longview in 2004. While living in Washougal she was active in the Democratic Party as an election inspector and precinct committee woman. Rosemary was a Master Gardner and was active in the Catholic Daughters and a member and historian of the Sunnyside Club. Hobbies for Rosemary include panning for gold and collecting buttons. She also sold Avon for 17 years.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Guinn and Rex Burton, and grandson, Matthew Guinn.
Survivors include sons, Vernon Guinn of Longview, WA, Michael Guinn of Tucson, AZ; sister, Neva Short of Wenatchee, WA; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 4 at 11am at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. Burial will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas. In lieu of flowers donations can be given to any Meals On Wheels or Hospice Organization.
