Robert Aaron Morris
January 2, 1953 - February 12, 2012
Washougal, WA
Robert Aaron Morris left this world on February 12, 2012 at the age of 59. Robert was the only child born to Roy and Betty Morris in Eglin, FL while his father was stationed with the Air Force. The family moved all over the world while in the Air Force before ending up in Vancouver, WA where Robert graduated from Evergreen High School in 1971. He entered into the Army after high school during the Vietnam War; however his unit was never deployed. After his service in the Army was finished he worked various jobs while attending college and eventually getting a degree in Engineering. He married Debbie Harris on November 26, 1982 and was blessed with three sons Jeremy, Brett and Cody a few years later they had Matthew.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and crabbing with his best friend Pat McClure, camping, building and working on computers, watching his children and grandchildren play a wide variety of sports, photography, doing wood carvings and anything Harley Davidson. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching them all grow. Throughout the years he was an active member of The Mason's and spent time serving on the Washougal City Planning Commission.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Debbie Morris; four adoring sons and two daughter in-laws Jeremy and Jennifer Morris of Washougal, WA; Brett Morris of Phoenix, AZ; Cody and Kristin Morris of Camas, WA; and Matthew Morris of Washougal, WA; as well as six beautiful grandchildren Taylor, Carson, Braeden, Ella, Bailey, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Morris, mother Betty Morris, and son Brandon Morris.
As a family we would also like to acknowledge his loving and beautiful wife Debbie and son Matthew for selflessly devoting themselves and time to care for Robert and help transition him from this world to the next.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Foursquare Church in Camas, WA with a potluck to follow at the church.
