EDITH RUTH GRIPP Edith Ruth Gripp, formerly of Washougal, went to be with her Savior on October 1st in Woodland, Wash. She was 91. Edith was born March 25, 1915 in Salida, Colorado to Anna Zaitz and Frank Glovan. She grew up in Colorado and married William Russell Rickard in 1937. They had three children. She subsequently moved to California and later married Andy Gripp in 1964. After Andy?s retirement they moved to Washougal. He died in the mid-?90?s but she continued to live in Washougal until her health precipitated a move to a facility in Woodland in 2002. Mrs. Gripp enjoyed keeping up her home and flower garden. She was a great cook and loved her family. Edith is survived by her daughters Judy Olson of Taft, CA and Linda Cook of Ridgefield, WA; son Dwight Rickard of Cool, CA; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Saturday, October 7, 2006, at 11:30AM at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will follow at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
