Obituary of William ''Andy'' Anderson

WILLIAM MAYNARD ?ANDY? ANDERSON William Maynard ?Andy? Anderson of Camas died Thursday April 27th in Vancouver. He was 67. Andy was born March 6, 1939 in Howard, SD to Myrtis Evelyn Thompson and Carl Milo Anderson. He moved to California at age 15. After high school he worked for Rockwell International until being drafted into the Army in 1962. After his discharge he went back to Rockwell where he worked for 22 years. He married Joyce Ritter September 16, 1972 and they moved to Camas in 1979. While maintaining a residence in Camas, he worked all over the United States including a stay in Saudi Arabia. The last 10 years of his working life were spent with Pacific Rock now Rinker driving a cat wagon in Fisher Pit. He retired in 2004. Andy loved to fish and play darts. He was a member of AMVETS, the Vancouver Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife Joyce at home; sons William A. of California and Jack W. of Vancouver; daughters Jean Ann Soelberg of Selah, WA and Robin V. Kunkel of Camas; sisters Violet M. Davis and Sandra K. Maas both of Vancouver; seven grandchildren. Andy was preceded in death by a brother Clayton Carl Anderson. Memorial services for Andy Anderson will be Saturday May 6th at 10 am at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. The family suggests remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society.
