Obituary of Fouad Habib

FOUAD HABIB Fouad Habib, age 71, passed away September 3, 2006 in Gresham, OR. He was born May 7, 1935 in Palestine where he grew up. IN 1958 he moved to Yakima, WA and then to Portland, OR in 1961. Mr. Habib worked as a mechanical engineer for Cascade Corporation and later as Middle East Sales Manager for Columbia Machine. He moved to Vancouver in June of 1977. He worked for several years as security for the Coca-Cola Syrup Plant in Portland. Mr. Habib moved to Gresham 8 years ago. He was a member of the Gateway Elks Lodge in Portland for 33 years and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his daughters, Nadia Hagen and her husband, Robert of Camas, Julie Downer and her husband, Steve of Battle Ground, Lameece Habeger and her husband, Craig of San Marcos, CA, Laila Vadnais and her husband Dave of Burlington, WI; ex-wife, Colleen Habib of Vancouver; brothers, Kamal Habib of Lebanon, Jamal Habib of San Diego, CA; sister, Selma Kassis of Rama, Israel; companion, Larie Collins of Gresham, OR; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held in October in Yakima, WA. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
