Obituary of Gregory Lee Stefany

GREGORY LEE STEFANY Gregory Stefany, age 67, passed away Friday, June 23, 2006 in Vancouver, WA. He was born March 8, 1939 in Fullerton, PA to Frederick and Ruth Rupp Stefany. He obtained his BS degree from East Stoudsburg University in Pennsylvania and also did some graduate studies there. He married Gloria Snyder on 12/26/1964 and they moved to Alaska where he taught in Alaskan villages for 31 years. They moved back to Pennsylvania in 1997 to care for his mother. About five years ago they moved to the Camas area. He loved fishing and the outdoors in general. He immersed himself in native cultures and collected many artifacts. He also collected coins. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a member of the Shiloh Fellowship in Vancouver. Mr. Stefany is survived by his wife Gloria in Camas, WA; son Michael of Indiana, PA; daughters Lisa Phillips of Vale, OR, Anne Knoedler of Camas, WA, Amy Stefany of Bellingham, WA; sister Pat Siegel of Philadelphia, PA; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, June 30, 2006, 10 AM at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas with interment following at the Camas Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances be made to The Shiloh Fellowship, 10709 SE 10th in Vancouver or to The Special Olympics.
