BILLIE HELEN BARNETT Billie Barnett, of Vancouver, passed away Sunday, June 18 in Salem, OR at the age of 70.. She was born July 14, 1935 in Alton, MO and moved to Camas as a young girl. She graduated from Camas High School and went on to Clark College, Western Washington Univ. and received her Master?s in Education at Univ. of Portland. Billie started teaching school in Battle Ground and married Werner Barnett in 1960. She later taught school for the Evergreen School District until her retirement. She enjoyed baseball, especially the Mariner?s, cats, and her family. She is survived by her sons, Richard Barnett of Lebanon, OR, Ron Barnett of Hillsboro, OR, Steve Barnett of Albany, OR; brothers, Robert King of Adair Village, OR, Jim King of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Flora Trullinger of Camas; former husband & friend, Werner Barnett; and grandchildren, Jared, Kyli, Caleb, Andrew, and Bethany. A funeral service will be Friday, June 23, at 1pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Visitations will be Friday from 9am to 12:30pm.
